We group our plants together in themes according to their suitability for different types of garden:

We have 4 sections of trees - weeping, small, medium, large. If you need advice on what size tree you should consider please contact us - you may be surprised how much room some specimens prefer!

Herbaceous Border

These classic 'cottage garden' plants are more popular every year.

Astilbes, Hostas, Iris, Delphiniums, hardy Geraniums, Euphorbias, Poppies, Meconopsis, Aster, Bleeding Heart. These and many more perennials are available.

Roses

David Austin English Roses

We stock a wide selection of roses - standard, bush, patio and climber varieties are available, plus David Austin English Roses.

Carpet roses - excellent ground cover

Also ground cover - or 'carpet' roses.

For specific varieties please ask - if we don't hold stocks we can usually obtain them.


Wisteria

Several varieties of this majestic climber are held at Laylocks (please contact us for specific varieties and availability). Beautiful hanging flowers. Wisteria sinensis

Acer - Japanese Maple

Acer palmatum 'Dissectum'

We stock a superb range of these dwarf growing plants with very attractive foliage.

Acer palmatum 'Dissectum Garnet'

Best planted in a sheltered position.


Bedding Plants

Bay Trees
(Laurus Nobilus)

These trained evergreen bushes are ideal as terrace plants, on the patio, balcony or in the garden. Lollipop and pyramid shapes available and young plants ready to train yourself.
Leaves can be used for culinary purposes.
Robinia Twisty Baby

Very small (1.5m fully grown) tree with curly leaves and branches, having a 'good winter look'.

Prefers a sunny or semi-shaded spot. Protect if temperature drops to -8 degrees Centigrade.

Bamboo

New stock of these exciting plants is arriving regularly.

Bamboo - Phyllostachys nigra

Available in many varieties - dwarf at 8 inches high through to 12 foot tall varieties! Choose carefully - ask Laylocks staff for advice if you are unsure which variety to choose.
